Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and GodStory, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“GodStory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms apply when you visit our website, purchase or receive a GodStory experience, create or access an account, record or submit a story, review or approve a chapter or manuscript, order a privately printed book, receive communications, or otherwise use the Services.

By clicking to accept these Terms, creating or accessing an account, purchasing the Services, accepting a gift invitation, submitting Content, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy and Cookie Policy available through GodStory’s website. If you do not agree, do not purchase, access, or use the Services.

If you use the Services on behalf of a company, church, ministry, nonprofit organization, trust, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity. In that case, “you” includes both you and the entity, except where these Terms concern an individual Storyteller’s personal Content, sensitive information, privacy choices, or account rights.

During beta and initial launch, Purchasers and Storytellers must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract. GodStory does not knowingly create Storyteller accounts for people under 18. An adult Storyteller may include information about children or other minors in a family story, but remains responsible for using reasonable judgment and complying with applicable law and these Terms.

For purposes of these Terms:

• A “Purchaser” is a person or organization that buys or sponsors a GodStory experience or related product
• A “Storyteller” is the person whose voice recordings, stories, transcripts, chapters, and book are developed through GodStory
• “Content” includes voice recordings, audio files, transcripts, written responses, notes, edits, chapter drafts, approved chapters, manuscripts, gift messages, and other material submitted to or created through the Services
• A “Project” is the Storyteller’s GodStory storytelling and book-creation experience
• A “Book Recipient” is a person to whom the Storyteller directs GodStory to ship a privately printed copy
• A “Legacy Recipient” is a person the Storyteller designates to receive certain preserved Storyteller Content after the Storyteller’s verified death or qualifying incapacity

GodStory helps Storytellers preserve stories of God’s faithfulness by responding to faith-centered reflection questions, recording spoken answers, reviewing written chapters created with artificial-intelligence assistance, and producing a privately printed book.

Depending on the offer purchased and the features then available, the Services may include Story Sparks or other reflection questions, follow-up questions, voice recording, speech-to-text transcription, AI-assisted organization and editing, chapter review and approval, private storage, support-based requests for copies of available Content, printing, fulfillment, and other features described at purchase.

Product-specific details such as the included number of prompts or chapters, book format, page allowance, production estimates, shipping charges, upgrades, and other included items are shown at checkout or in the applicable written offer and become part of the agreement for that purchase.

During beta and initial launch, GodStory is sold only to customers in the United States, and printed-book fulfillment is limited to U.S. addresses unless GodStory expressly agrees otherwise in writing. People outside the United States may be able to view the public website, but are not currently eligible to purchase or create a GodStory Project. If GodStory later intentionally offers the Services in additional countries, additional terms may apply.

The Services do not currently include public story links, collaborative editing, general in-account family viewing, or automatic access by a Purchaser, family member, church, ministry, sponsor, or other person to a Storyteller’s private Content.

The Purchaser and Storyteller may be the same person or different people. When they are different, the Storyteller controls the substance and privacy of the Project. This includes control over recordings, transcripts, written responses, chapter review and approval, deletion requests, sharing choices, printed-book recipients, and Legacy Recipient designations.

The Purchaser controls payment-related matters and may receive limited non-content Project information, such as whether an invitation was accepted, whether the Project is active, and whether the Project is complete. Payment does not automatically give the Purchaser access to the Storyteller’s recordings, transcripts, chapters, manuscript, completed book, or other private Content.

If the Purchaser and Storyteller give conflicting instructions, GodStory may follow the Storyteller’s instructions regarding private Content and personal information, and the Purchaser’s instructions regarding payment matters, subject to these Terms, the Privacy and Cookie Policy, applicable law, and any separate written agreement.

GodStory may create or provision an account when a person purchases the Services or is invited to become a Storyteller. You must provide complete and accurate information and keep it current.

GodStory uses passwordless or secure-link authentication or other authentication methods then available. You are responsible for protecting access to your email account, devices, sign-in links, and authenticated sessions. You may not share a private access link with someone who is not authorized to use your account.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account unless the activity results from GodStory’s failure to use reasonable security measures. Notify us promptly at support@godstory.co if you believe your account, email, device, or private access link has been compromised.

A Purchaser may buy GodStory for another eligible adult. The Purchaser may provide the intended Storyteller’s name, email address, relationship to the Purchaser, and an optional personal gift message. The gift invitation will identify the Purchaser by name and will include the Purchaser’s email address so the Storyteller knows who provided the gift. Providing the Purchaser’s identity or email address does not make the Purchaser a Legacy Recipient and does not grant Content access.

The intended Storyteller may accept or decline the invitation. A gift recipient is not automatically enrolled in general marketing merely because the Purchaser provided the recipient’s contact information. If the recipient declines, asks us not to contact them, or does not participate, GodStory may stop optional reminders and marketing communications while retaining limited records as permitted by the Privacy and Cookie Policy and applicable law.

The original Purchaser may request one reassignment of an unused GodStory experience within 12 months after the original purchase by emailing support@godstory.co. For reassignment purposes, an experience is unused if the intended Storyteller has not submitted a voice recording or written story response and no book has entered production. The replacement Storyteller receives a new invitation and does not receive access to the original intended Storyteller’s information or Content.

A Purchaser may not provide SMS consent on behalf of a Storyteller. If SMS reminders are offered, the Storyteller must personally provide the telephone number and required consent.

Churches, ministries, nonprofit organizations, employers, family members, and other sponsors may purchase or fund GodStory experiences for eligible Storytellers. Sponsorship or payment does not give the sponsor access to a Storyteller’s private Content unless the Storyteller separately authorizes a particular disclosure or applicable law requires it.

A sponsor may receive limited non-content Project status where appropriate, such as whether an invitation was accepted or whether the Project has been completed. More complex church cohorts, wholesale arrangements, affiliate programs, partner programs, or enterprise purchases may be governed by additional written terms. Each individual Storyteller must still agree to the terms applicable to their own use of the Services and sensitive Content.

Current prices, included products, book specifications, shipping charges, page limits, and optional upgrades are shown at checkout or in the applicable written offer. Prices may change for future purchases, but a price change will not alter a completed purchase unless the Purchaser later orders an additional product or approves an upgrade.

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. By providing a payment method, you authorize the applicable processor to charge the amounts clearly presented and accepted at checkout, including applicable taxes and shipping charges.

GodStory does not currently impose an automatically renewing annual subscription for the standard launch offer. A one-time purchase will not be converted into an automatically renewing subscription without clear advance disclosure and affirmative authorization. If GodStory later offers an optional recurring plan, the terms, price, renewal frequency, and cancellation method will be disclosed before enrollment.

GodStory may decline, cancel, or limit an order before fulfillment where reasonably necessary because of a pricing or description error, suspected fraud or unauthorized payment, product or production unavailability, legal or regulatory requirements, technical error, or another legitimate business reason. If GodStory cancels a paid order for reasons unrelated to the Purchaser’s breach, fraud, misuse, or legal violation, GodStory will refund amounts paid for the canceled portion.

After a purchase, GodStory will provide an electronic confirmation describing the purchase and applicable charges. Promotional codes, discounts, credits, and special offers may have additional conditions. Unless required by law, they have no cash value and may not be combined, transferred, or applied retroactively unless GodStory expressly permits it.

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

The initial GodStory purchase is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee. The original Purchaser may request a full refund within 30 days after the original purchase, including for a gift, provided no book has entered printing. Refund requests must be submitted to support@godstory.co and may require verification of the purchase. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible.

Early deletion of Storyteller Content, withdrawal of consent, failure to participate, refusal to continue, or cancellation after the 30-day guarantee period does not independently create a refund right, subject to applicable law. Reassignment under Section 6 does not create a new 30-day guarantee period.

Damaged, Defective, or Lost Books

Please report visible shipping damage or a material printing or manufacturing defect within 14 days after delivery where reasonably possible by contacting support@godstory.co. GodStory may request photographs or other reasonable documentation. GodStory will replace or reprint a materially defective book or a book materially damaged by the carrier at no additional charge. Failure to report within 14 days does not eliminate any non-waivable right provided by applicable law.

If a carrier loses a shipment through no fault of the customer, GodStory will arrange an appropriate replacement. If delivery fails because the Storyteller or Purchaser supplied an incorrect or incomplete address, or requested an address change after the applicable production cutoff, the customer may be responsible for reasonable reprinting and reshipping costs.

Printed books are customized products and are not returnable or refundable merely because the Purchaser or Storyteller changes their mind after the applicable guarantee period or after printing has begun.

The Storyteller is responsible for recording or submitting responses, reviewing generated chapters, requesting corrections, approving the final manuscript, and providing timely decisions needed to complete the Project. Missed reminders, skipped questions, pauses, delayed reviews, and requested revisions may extend the Project timeline.

GodStory is designed to be completed within the timeframe described in the applicable offer. Unless otherwise stated in that offer, the included active Project period remains available for 12 months after the Storyteller first activates the Project. This 12-month period is not an automatically renewing subscription.

After the active Project period ends, GodStory may pause new prompts, active editing assistance, revisions, and production support for an unfinished Project. Existing Storyteller Content may continue to be preserved in accordance with Section 18 and the Privacy and Cookie Policy. GodStory may offer a reactivation or extension under the terms and pricing then available.

GodStory does not guarantee that every recording will produce a complete chapter, that every Storyteller will complete a particular number of chapters, or that a book will contain a particular number of pages. The final result depends on the length, clarity, subject matter, and quantity of the Content and on the Storyteller’s review decisions.

GodStory uses automated systems and third-party artificial-intelligence and machine-learning service providers to transcribe voice recordings, assist with reflection or follow-up questions, organize stories, and help draft and edit chapters. Raw voice recordings may be transmitted to an AI or transcription provider for speech-to-text processing. Transcripts, written responses, relevant story context, and chapter drafts may also be processed as necessary to provide the Services.

Storyteller Content may naturally contain names, places, relationships, religious beliefs, health information, trauma, family history, financial or legal matters, and other information voluntarily included by the Storyteller. Before a Storyteller begins submitting Storyteller Content, GodStory will request affirmative consent to process religious beliefs and other sensitive personal information the Storyteller chooses to include, as described in the Privacy and Cookie Policy.

GodStory does not authorize third-party AI providers to use Storyteller Content to train their general-purpose AI models, except where a Storyteller separately provides affirmative permission for a different use. GodStory also will not create a permanent identifiable training library or train or fine-tune a general-purpose GodStory model using identifiable private recordings, transcripts, chapters, or testimonies without separate affirmative permission.

AI-generated text can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, or inconsistent with the Storyteller’s meaning. The Storyteller must review names, dates, quotations, factual claims, sensitive disclosures, theological statements, and other important details before approving a chapter or book for printing. GodStory uses AI as an assistance tool and does not use automated systems to make legal or similarly significant decisions about a person.

Authorized GodStory personnel may access limited portions of Storyteller Content when there is a legitimate service-related reason, including customer support, troubleshooting, revision or production assistance, security, legal compliance, and internal quality assurance of GodStory’s existing core storytelling and book-creation functions. GodStory does not permit casual internal browsing of private Storyteller Content and does not use private Storyteller Content for advertising, public promotion, publication, or sales materials without separate permission.

For broader research and product development, GodStory seeks to use aggregated, de-identified, synthetic, technical, or operational information where reasonably practicable. GodStory will not use a Storyteller’s recordings to clone the Storyteller’s voice, create synthetic speech or new statements in the Storyteller’s voice, create an avatar or digital likeness, or build a materially different voice-based experience without separate affirmative authorization.

Where GodStory relies on consent, a Storyteller may withdraw consent at any time by contacting support@godstory.co. Withdrawal applies prospectively and does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn. If withdrawal prevents GodStory from processing information necessary to provide the Services, GodStory may be unable to continue or complete the affected Project. Withdrawal does not, by itself, create a refund right, subject to Section 9 and applicable law.

Storytellers retain ownership of the recordings, stories, written responses, edits, and other original Content they submit. As between the Storyteller and GodStory, the Storyteller also owns the individualized approved chapters and manuscript created for the Storyteller to the extent ownership is recognized by applicable law. AI-generated material may not qualify for copyright protection in every circumstance, and GodStory does not guarantee that any AI-assisted output is eligible for copyright registration or exclusive ownership.

Storytellers may reuse, publish, distribute, podcast, license, sell, or otherwise commercially exploit their own original Content and individualized approved chapters or manuscript, subject to applicable law and the rights of other people. Using GodStory does not give GodStory ownership of the Storyteller’s underlying life story or testimony.

By submitting Content, the Storyteller grants GodStory a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transcribe, process, adapt, organize, edit, format, display privately as necessary to provide the Services, print, fulfill, preserve, support, and otherwise use the Content as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Services in the limited ways described in these Terms and the Privacy and Cookie Policy.

This license permits GodStory to use service providers for hosting, storage, authentication, AI and transcription, communications, payment processing, printing, fulfillment, security, and related functions. The license is sublicensable to those providers only to the extent reasonably necessary for them to perform services for GodStory. It may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of the business, subject to the Privacy and Cookie Policy and applicable law.

The license continues while Content is retained to provide and support the Services and for any additional period reasonably necessary for backups, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and authorized production or reorders. Deleting Content ends the license for future active use of that deleted Content, subject to temporary backup cycles, completed printed products, retained de-identified information, and legal obligations.

GodStory and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, including the GodStory name and marks, website, software, prompts, question libraries, templates, design systems, page layouts, workflows, AI instructions, documentation, and underlying technology. GodStory grants the Storyteller a nonexclusive license to use GodStory-owned templates, layouts, formatting, and design elements solely as incorporated into the Storyteller’s completed GodStory book and authorized copies or files. This does not permit extraction, reproduction, sublicensing, or commercial exploitation of GodStory’s standalone prompts, templates, software, branding, or design systems without written permission.

GodStory helps Storytellers create privately preserved and privately printed accounts of their own lives and experiences. GodStory does not publicly publish or distribute Storyteller books through the Services. Storytellers remain responsible for the Content they submit and for the final manuscript they approve for printing.

A Storyteller’s account of their life may naturally include family members, friends, coworkers, and other people. Being mentioned in another person’s privately held Storyteller Content does not, by itself, give the person mentioned ownership of the Storyteller’s Content or a right to access, edit, approve, or delete the Storyteller’s account of their experiences. GodStory does not require a Storyteller to obtain approval from every person mentioned merely because that person appears in a privately created memoir, but the Storyteller remains responsible for complying with applicable law.

You represent that you own the Content you submit or have the rights reasonably necessary to submit it and permit GodStory to use it as described in these Terms. You should not knowingly submit material you do not have the right to use, unlawful or defamatory content, unnecessary highly sensitive information about another person, threats, harassment, or information subject to professional or other confidentiality obligations.

If Content includes another person’s recording, photograph, letter, journal entry, writing, or other material created by that person, you must have permission or another lawful basis to use that material. If you provide material created by or prominently depicting a minor, you are responsible for obtaining any permission required by applicable law.

A person who believes a GodStory Project contains personal information or material about them that GodStory is not legally permitted to process may contact support@godstory.co. GodStory may verify the requester’s identity and evaluate the request based on applicable law, the Storyteller’s rights, the nature of the information, and the status of the Project. GodStory will not disclose the remainder of a Storyteller’s private Content merely because another person submits a request. Copies already printed, delivered, or independently shared cannot be retrieved or altered by GodStory.

You may not use the Services to:

• Break the law, facilitate fraud, or violate another person’s rights
• Harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, or knowingly defame another person
• Upload malware, harmful code, or material intended to disrupt or compromise the Services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another account, recording, Project, system, or private link
• Scrape, crawl, copy, probe, reverse engineer, decompile, or systematically extract the Services except where applicable law does not permit that restriction
• Use automated means to access the Services without GodStory’s written permission
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services except under an authorized written arrangement
• Use another person’s recording or GodStory output to create deceptive synthetic media, impersonation, unauthorized voice cloning, or an unauthorized avatar
• Remove, obscure, or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary notices associated with the Services
• Use GodStory’s name, trademarks, logos, or branding in a manner that falsely implies sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation

GodStory may investigate suspected misuse and may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, third parties, or GodStory.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe material submitted through GodStory infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, contact support@godstory.co and provide enough information for us to identify the material, understand the rights you claim, and contact you regarding the request. GodStory may investigate, restrict access to, remove, or decline to process allegedly infringing material where reasonably appropriate or legally required. This process does not represent that GodStory has registered a designated DMCA agent unless GodStory separately states that it has done so.

Projects are private by default. GodStory does not currently provide public story links, public publication of Storyteller Content, collaborator accounts, or general in-account family viewing.

During beta, GodStory does not provide a customer-facing self-service sharing or download feature. A Storyteller may contact support@godstory.co regarding a specific request involving their Content, and GodStory may provide available Content through an appropriate support process subject to identity verification, technical availability, security considerations, applicable law, and the Privacy and Cookie Policy.

The Purchaser does not receive Content access merely because the Purchaser paid. A printed book may be privately shared by the Storyteller outside GodStory, but that does not create digital account access for the recipient.

Before printing, the Storyteller must review and approve the final manuscript and, where available, the book preview. Approval authorizes GodStory and its printing and fulfillment providers to produce the book using the approved files and to ship copies to the address or Book Recipient selected by the Storyteller.

The Storyteller is responsible for correcting errors visible in the approved manuscript or preview, including spelling, names, dates, factual statements, chapter order, titles, and sensitive disclosures. GodStory is not required to provide a free reprint for an error that was present in an approved proof or resulted from Content supplied or approved by the Storyteller.

Printed products may have minor variations in color, paper, alignment, trimming, binding, foil, texture, or other manufacturing characteristics. Ordinary production variations that do not materially impair the product are not defects.

Production and delivery estimates are not guarantees. Delays may occur because of review, production capacity, carrier performance, weather, supply interruptions, address errors, or events outside GodStory’s reasonable control. During beta and initial launch, fulfillment is limited to U.S. addresses unless GodStory expressly agrees otherwise.

The replacement and reporting rules for materially defective, carrier-damaged, lost, or misaddressed books are described in Section 9.

During beta, only the Storyteller may place an order for additional printed copies of the completed GodStory book. The Storyteller may direct GodStory to ship an ordered copy to another person by providing the recipient’s name, mailing address, and other information reasonably necessary for delivery. Shipping a book to another person does not give that person access to the Storyteller’s account or private digital Content.

Additional copies and reorders are offered at the price, specifications, and shipping charges shown at the time of order. GodStory may retain the approved manuscript and production files to support reorders, subject to the Privacy and Cookie Policy and valid deletion requests.

A reorder reproduces the approved files selected for that order. Changes made after an earlier book was printed may require a new production file and may result in a different edition or additional charges.

GodStory is designed to preserve family stories and original voice recordings over time. Unless the Storyteller requests deletion, GodStory may retain recordings, transcripts, approved chapters, final manuscripts, account information, and related Project materials without a preset expiration date. Completion of the storytelling experience or printing of a book does not by itself trigger deletion. GodStory does not guarantee permanent or lifetime storage or availability.

During beta, GodStory does not provide a customer-facing self-service feature for downloading or exporting original audio recordings, transcripts, chapters, or manuscripts. Storytellers can review approved chapters and the completed manuscript inside GodStory. A Storyteller may request a copy of available Storyteller Content by emailing support@godstory.co. GodStory will respond subject to reasonable identity verification, technical availability, security considerations, applicable law, and legitimate retention limitations.

A Storyteller may request deletion of the entire account, original audio recordings, or other eligible Content or personal information by emailing support@godstory.co. Account deletion requires verification of control of the email address associated with the account unless a different legally sufficient verification process applies. GodStory may request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify identity, authority, or the scope of the request.

GodStory will process a valid deletion request within the period required by applicable law or, where no specific period applies, within a reasonable period. Information deleted from active systems may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, security logs, archived systems, or service-provider systems until those systems are overwritten, rotated, or otherwise deleted in the ordinary course, unless applicable law requires earlier deletion. During that period, deleted backup information will not be used for ordinary business purposes and, if restored for disaster recovery, will remain subject to the applicable deletion request.

Deleting original audio does not automatically delete related transcripts, approved chapters, or the final manuscript unless the Storyteller also requests deletion of those materials. GodStory may retain payment, accounting, fraud-prevention, consent, opt-out, dispute, security, and legal records where required or permitted. Deleting Content or withdrawing required consent before completion may prevent GodStory from completing, correcting, reproducing, or supporting the Project and does not, by itself, create a refund right.

If GodStory discontinues a material part of the Services that stores Storyteller Content, GodStory will, where reasonably practical and legally permitted, provide advance notice and a reasonable opportunity for Storytellers to request copies of available recordings and Project materials before access is discontinued.

A Storyteller may designate one or more Legacy Recipients. During beta, a Storyteller may contact support@godstory.co to record, change, or remove a Legacy Recipient designation. The Purchaser may be designated, but is never a Legacy Recipient automatically merely because the Purchaser paid for the Services.

After GodStory reasonably verifies the Storyteller’s death or qualifying incapacity and the Legacy Recipient’s identity and authority, a validly designated Legacy Recipient may be permitted to access preserved Storyteller Content and request copies of available original recordings, transcripts, approved chapters, and final manuscripts through GodStory’s support process. Approved Storyteller Content remains intact and is not treated as editable by the Legacy Recipient as though the Legacy Recipient were the Storyteller.

A spouse, child, executor, Purchaser, next of kin, or other person who was not designated does not automatically receive access solely because of that relationship, except where applicable law requires otherwise. GodStory may require reasonable documentation and may delay or decline access where identity, authority, documentation, or competing claims cannot reasonably be verified.

GodStory may send transactional and service communications, including purchase confirmations, gift invitations, secure sign-in links, account notices, Story Sparks, reminder messages, chapter notifications, support responses, printing updates, shipping information, policy notices, and other communications reasonably necessary to provide the Services.

Storytellers may choose reminder preferences and schedules. Nonessential reminders may be changed or stopped through available preference controls or by contacting support@godstory.co. Opting out of nonessential reminders does not stop communications needed for authentication, security, transactions, support, printing, or legal notices.

General marketing messages are separate from service communications. A person is not automatically enrolled in general marketing merely because the person purchased GodStory, received a gift invitation, or became a Storyteller. Marketing recipients may unsubscribe using the link or method provided in the message or by contacting support@godstory.co.

GodStory offers an optional SMS messaging program through which Storytellers may receive Story Sparks, reminders, Project and chapter notifications, and other service-related messages.

A Storyteller must personally provide a mobile phone number and consent to receive SMS messages. A Purchaser cannot provide SMS consent on the Storyteller’s behalf. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the Services.

Message frequency varies based on the Storyteller’s selected reminder schedule and Project activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Storytellers may opt out at any time by replying STOP or contacting support@godstory.co. GodStory will honor opt-out requests made through any reasonable method. After opting out, the Storyteller will receive one confirmation message and no further SMS messages unless the Storyteller opts in again.

For assistance, reply HELP or contact support@godstory.co. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

GodStory relies on third-party providers for functions such as hosting, authentication, storage, AI processing and transcription, communications, payment processing, printing, fulfillment, shipping, security, and support. GodStory generally identifies categories of providers rather than naming every vendor in these Terms because providers may change as the Services evolve.

Some third parties acting independently from GodStory may have their own terms and privacy practices. GodStory is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of an independent third-party service. GodStory remains responsible for its own obligations and for selecting and managing providers as required by applicable law and contract.

If you provide ideas, suggestions, comments, survey responses, or other feedback about the Services, you grant GodStory a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use that feedback for any lawful business purpose without compensation or attribution. This feedback license does not grant GodStory the right to publish or use private Storyteller Content as a testimonial or marketing example.

Do not submit feedback that you consider confidential or proprietary unless GodStory has agreed in writing to receive it on a confidential basis.

GodStory is an evolving service. We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, prompts, AI models, workflows, providers, product specifications, or access methods. We may identify some features as beta, preview, early access, or experimental.

Beta and early-access features may be incomplete, change, produce errors, or be discontinued. Unless GodStory expressly agrees otherwise, no service-level agreement, uptime commitment, or guaranteed response time applies.

GodStory will use reasonable efforts to avoid materially reducing a paid Project before the Purchaser and Storyteller receive the core Services purchased. If a material discontinuation prevents GodStory from fulfilling an uncompleted paid order, GodStory will provide an appropriate remedy for the unfulfilled portion of the purchase, which may include a substitute service, credit, partial refund, full refund, support-based delivery of available Content, or another reasonable remedy, subject to applicable law and the circumstances.

GodStory is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including internet failures, provider outages, carrier delays, printer disruptions, labor disputes, severe weather, natural disasters, governmental action, war, terrorism, public-health emergencies, or shortages of materials.

You may stop using the Services at any time. You may request account or Content deletion as described in the Privacy and Cookie Policy and Section 18. Stopping use does not cancel charges already incurred or create a refund right beyond Section 9 and applicable law.

GodStory may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, misuse the Services, threaten security or safety, infringe another person’s rights, submit unlawful Content, or create legal or operational risk that cannot reasonably be addressed another way. Where reasonably practical, GodStory will provide notice and an opportunity to correct a breach before termination. Immediate suspension may occur where necessary to protect users, Content, systems, providers, or the public.

GodStory may also terminate or discontinue an account or Project for legitimate legal, business, technical, or operational reasons unrelated to the user’s misconduct. Where reasonably practical, GodStory will provide advance notice, a reasonable opportunity to request copies of available Storyteller Content, and an appropriate refund, credit, substitute service, or other remedy for any material paid portion of the Services that GodStory does not provide.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, licenses needed for retained data and completed printed products, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limitations, indemnification, dispute terms, and general provisions.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” GODSTORY DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, EXCEPT WHERE APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW THOSE DISCLAIMERS.

GodStory does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent storage, a particular emotional or spiritual outcome, a particular book length, or that AI-generated Content will be accurate, complete, unique, or suitable for every purpose.

GodStory provides a storytelling and book-creation service. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, pastoral, theological, or crisis counseling. Reflection questions and AI-generated text are not a substitute for professional or spiritual guidance. GodStory does not endorse every belief, statement, allegation, or interpretation contained in Storyteller Content.

Some states provide warranties or consumer rights that cannot be waived. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GODSTORY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST BUSINESS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GODSTORY’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT PAID TO GODSTORY FOR THE AFFECTED PROJECT OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other claims for which applicable law does not permit limitation.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless GodStory and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your material breach of these Terms, or Content that you did not have the right to submit, including third-party intellectual-property, privacy, defamation, or unlawful-content claims caused by your submission or use of Content.

This obligation does not require you to indemnify GodStory for GodStory’s own negligence, willful misconduct, breach of these Terms, or violation of law. GodStory will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim and may control the defense, while allowing you to participate with counsel at your own expense.

Informal Resolution First

Before filing a formal claim, you and GodStory agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days after one party provides written notice describing the dispute and the requested resolution. Notices to GodStory may be sent to support@godstory.co. GodStory may send a dispute notice to the email address associated with your account or purchase.

Individual AAA Consumer Arbitration

Except for eligible small-claims matters, claims for urgent injunctive relief described below, and matters that applicable law does not permit to be arbitrated, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services that is not resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its then-current Consumer Arbitration Rules and Mediation Procedures. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this arbitration agreement.

Arbitration may be conducted remotely, by documents, or through a hearing as permitted by the AAA rules and applicable law. Fees and costs will be allocated under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules and applicable law. GodStory will pay fees it is required to pay under those rules or applicable law.

Small Claims and Individual Proceedings

Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in a small-claims court of competent jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and GodStory agree that claims will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated, private-attorney-general, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief that a court could award, subject to applicable law.

30-Day Arbitration Opt-Out

You may opt out of the arbitration agreement by emailing support@godstory.co within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Your notice must include your name, the email address associated with your account or purchase, and a clear statement that you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out of arbitration does not affect the remaining provisions of these Terms.

Injunctive Relief

Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking temporary or urgent injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to address unauthorized system access, misuse of intellectual property, a serious security threat, or another circumstance where immediate equitable relief is legally available, or from exercising rights that applicable law does not permit to be arbitrated or waived.

Delaware Law and Court Venue

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent mandatory consumer protections in your state of residence apply and cannot lawfully be waived. If a dispute is not subject to arbitration and is not brought in small-claims court, you and GodStory consent to the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires or permits another forum.

GodStory may update these Terms as the Services, business practices, and laws change. We will post the revised Terms and update the date at the top. Where appropriate, we may also provide notice by email, through the Services, or by another reasonable method.

If a change materially reduces existing rights or materially expands how previously submitted Content may be used, GodStory will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required by applicable law. Changes generally apply prospectively. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

If you do not agree to revised Terms, you should stop using the affected Services and contact support@godstory.co regarding available deletion, cancellation, completion, or requests for copies of available Storyteller Content.

These Terms, the Privacy and Cookie Policy, the applicable checkout page or written offer, and any additional agreement expressly incorporated by reference form the agreement governing the Services. Order-specific terms control with respect to the price, products, specifications, timing, and fulfillment terms of the specific purchase. The Privacy and Cookie Policy controls with respect to GodStory’s collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information. A separately signed agreement controls only with respect to matters it expressly addresses. Nothing in a checkout page or product description overrides privacy rights or obligations required by applicable law.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without GodStory’s written permission, except that a Purchaser may use the gift reassignment process described in Section 6. GodStory may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Headings are for convenience only.

These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, agency, employment relationship, fiduciary relationship, or third-party beneficiary right.

GodStory may provide notices under these Terms by email to the address associated with your account or purchase, through the Services, or by posting a notice on the applicable website where permitted by law. Notices you are required to provide to GodStory may be sent to support@godstory.co unless these Terms specify another method. Electronic notices and signatures satisfy any legal requirement that communications be in writing, except where applicable law requires another method.
